Edith Piaf

More casting and information announced on the Piaf Production Elena is to star on.

"Roger will star in a new production of Pam Gem’s Piaf starting August 8. The play, originally performed in 1978, captures the rise and fall of the complex, fragile and enigmatic performer Edith Piaf. Jamie Lloyd directs the work, which will end on September 20."

Some news going on with Elena:

ELENA ROGER

Will be performing a Tango show in Australia

The rising of Elena Roger, actress and singer, seems to have no limits. After her shows in London ("Evita" and "Boeing-Boeing" ), the Barracas' redhead will now be flying to Australia , where she'll stage a Tango Show. The actress, known for the piece "Mina. Che cosa sei", commented about performing in the land of kangaroos: "It'll be in June, and there'll be dancing, but above all, it'll be a singing show."

I hope we can get more information soon :)

Elena honoring Lloyd Webber

Elena appeared at the Oliver Awards:

"Any musical-haters in the audience at the ceremony, which was presented by the actor Richard E Grant, would have felt out of place. Not only were there performances from Hairspray, Lord of the Rings, The Magic Flute, Parade, Fiddler on the Roof and Little Shop of Horrors, but there was a one-off tribute to Lloyd Webber performed by Connie Fisher, Lee Mead and Elena Roger. Award presenters included Kevin Spacey, Jeff Goldblum, Tamsin Greig and Kelly Osbourne."
